ME870 Series

Back check valves provide flow protection to container openings or liquid lines where flow is intended for one direction. The valve is normally closed until pressure activates the valve when flow is directed into piping or containers causing the back check to open. When flow stops or reverses, the check returns to the closed position. These valves come with dual seating capabilities or an optional bonded soft seat on 2 and 3″ models. With the dual seating capabilities, the factory installed O-ring provides a leak-free, soft seat seal which enables repair and maintenance to be done on depressurized plumbing. Remove the O-ring to allow metal-to-metal seating with a minimal leak seal to restrict flow in case of a break in the line.
